How will the sponsorship help?

Ringwood Ballet Group is an iconic and one of the few non-profit performing arts organisations in Melbourne's outer east, with a long-standing reputation for artistic development and community engagement. It remains one of the few ballet organisations in Victoria to offer free ballet productions for the wider community. Funding will support three key initiatives aimed at enhancing the wellbeing, accessibility, and participation of local community members. 1. Gentle Movement and Wellbeing Programs ($3,000) Funding will subsidise the development, promotion, and expert delivery of gentle movement and wellbeing programs based on the Tripudio Movement System, blending elements of Pilates and Tai Chi. These low-impact programs support rehabilitation, chronic condition management, and general fitness through safe, inclusive movement in a supportive environment. The initiatives directly address physical inactivity and social isolation—two major public health challenges affecting one in five Australians—by creating welcoming spaces for movement and connection while keeping fees affordable for vulnerable community members. 2. Community Foyer Seating Upgrade ($1,500) Funding will contribute to the purchase and installation of new seating in the community foyer, enabling families and community members to comfortably observe rehearsals and performances. This will enhance accessibility, engagement, and inclusion. 3. Costume Storage and Racks ($500) Funding will support the purchase of costume racks and storage solutions to improve organisation, protect assets, and streamline delivery of performances. Together, these initiatives will strengthen community participation, reduce barriers to access, and support a welcoming and inclusive arts environment.
